Guess who started their Christmas shopping yesterday? Yeah, that’s right–this girl did!! I’ve never, ever shopped so early for Christmas. But I’d really like to be done before we pack up and head to North Carolina, and yesterday was a wonderful start! I suppose that’s really all I can say on the subject without giving away my wonderful findings before they make it under the tree. So, yay for Christmas shopping! Although, I really must say, shopping in general is just more fun with the husband. I’m very fortunate that I found a guy who actually enjoys shopping and has me beat when it comes to shoes. Today was another fun day as far as the 4-H club goes; we had a successful lesson on Marc Chagall and the kids did pictures with oil pastels that represented dreams. We had them draw a house, then rotate the page, draw a person, rotate, draw a tree, rotate, and then the sun and moon. I was really glad to introduce the kids to oil pastels, especially since they usually just reach for crayons and markers. Tonight was another great workout, and we even convinced Suse to join us. As we were leaving the gym, I noticed a sign for the Mistletoe 5K–my new goal is to convince the girls to do this with me. We’re by no means ready to run it, but we can walk it. And I really miss doing road races like we did in high school. Plus it can be my last big thing I do before we move. I’m sure I complain alot about work, but I truly am thankful that I have great coworkers who have kept me sane with the absence of my best friend. Just one more week today!! Can’t wait to get on that plane…
